Shelter is probably one of the most important considerations when bikepacking as you need to balance weight versus level of protection. Some folks like the ultra-light tarp and ground cover approach, while others prefer the security of a ground based tent and some like hanging from trees in a hammock.
The people at AMOK used their Norwegian outdoor engineering skills to design a pretty neat hammock tent system . . . and Fatbike Republic secured one to review during some upcoming bikepacking adventures. The hammock tent system consists of three components that can be purchased individually or as a kit.
Draumr – Perpendicular lay flat hammock with integrated fly net.

Borg – All season multi-tarp
Fjøl LW – three-season sleeping pad with pump bag.
Stay tuned as Fatbike Republic takes a closer look at this innovative camping system from AMOK Equipment.
