For 2021 the folks at Devinci totally redesigned their Minus fat bike line from the ground up. Not only is there a new frame, but the bike is made entirely in Canada. Tube cutting, bending, shaping, welding, testing, painting and assembly of the bike are all done in Canada.
Devinci is offering two models for the discerning fatbiker for 2021 and they are the Minus Deore 10spd and the Minus NX 12spd. Common features with the bikes include:
- 6061-T6 aluminum frame
- Threaded BB
- 12 x 197 rear spacing (clearance for 26x4.8 tires)
- Dual thru-axles
- Maxxis Tires (Minion FBF Front & FBR Rear 26 x 4.8)
- 50 mm stem
- 780 mm bars
- 86 mm alloy rims
Looking a little more closely at each model we see:
Minus Deore 10 Spd
- Alloy fork
- Colour: Gloss Charcoal
- Shimano Deore Derailleur (M4120 10spd)
- Shimano Deore Shifter (M4100 10spd)
- Tektro ML520-RS brake levers (mechanical)
- Tektro 180mm rotors front and rear
- Carbon fork
- Colour: Gloss Grey Team

While Devinci kept to a more conservative colour palate for this season’s bikes, they are available in a broad range of sizes from Small to Extra Large. And sticking to a more tried and true drivetrains and braking systems, riders should enjoy having little downtime while shredding snow (and dirt) with those sweet Maxxis Tires.
